Rabat
The capital, with the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower.
Morocco’s capital, at the mouth of the Bouregreg: calm, green and elegant, with a medina by the sea and monuments from twelve centuries.

Getting around
The tram links the centre, the medina, the river and Salé. The Kasbah, the medina and Hassan Tower are an easy walk apart.
A local tip
Cross the Bouregreg by rowing boat from below the Kasbah: a few dirhams and five minutes on the water.
Salé
Rabat’s quieter twin across the river: cross by rowing boat from below the Kasbah to its medina and great mosque.
